We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Stud Groom to join our team. In this key role, you will play a vital role in the day-to- day care and management of our breeding stock, ensuring their well-being and maximizing their potential.

Responsibilities:
Yearling & Sales Expertise:
Be able to assist in coordinating aspects of yearling preparation for sales.
Proven sales experience and the ability to confidently prepare, educate and parade yearlings.
Confidently liaise with veterinarians and farriers as required.
Stud Duties:
Provide daily care for breeding stock, including feeding, mucking out, and general stud duties.
Assist with the monitoring of mare and foal health and report any concerns to management.
Assist with breeding procedures such as crush work during the breeding season.
Be able to maintain accurate and detailed records as required.
General Farm Duties:
Work as part of the team to safeguard the daily maintenance of facilities, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
Contribute to a positive and organized team environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience working on a thoroughbred breeding farm.
Proven experience in all aspects of yearling preparation and sales presentations.
Excellent horsemanship skills with a calm and confident demeanor.
Strong understanding of equine health and welfare principles.
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
Strong communication and collaboration skills: The ability to confidently express ideas, work effectively with colleagues across departments, and clearly communicate information to achieve timely and efficient results.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license.
